Fathers Day Strawberry Shortcake
Ingredients:
- 1 box white cake mix
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 3 eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 pint fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350F. Grease and flour a 9x13 inch baking pan.
- In a large bowl, mix together the cake mix, butter, eggs, milk, and vanilla extract. Pour the batter into the prepared pan.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Allow to cool completely.
- Whip heavy cream and powdered sugar together until stiff peaks form. Spread over the cooled cake.
