Recipe: Pasta con Camarones en Salsa Roja

Ingredients

  • 1 lb of shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 lb of your favorite pasta
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons of tomato paste
  • 1 teaspoon of oregano
  • 1 teaspoon of paprika
  • 1 teaspoon of cumin
  • 1/2 cup of red wine
  • 3 tablespoons of olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

Step 1:

In a large pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic and sauté until the onion is translucent.

Step 2:

Add the tomato paste, oregano, paprika and cumin. Stir to combine and cook for a few minutes until the tomato paste has darkened in color.

Step 3:

Add the red wine and let it simmer until it has reduced by half.
