Ingredients
- 1 package of shumai wrappers
- 1 lb ground pork
- 1/2 cup finely chopped cabbage
- 1/2 cup finely chopped carrots
- 1/4 cup finely chopped mushrooms
- 1 tsp minced ginger
- 1 tsp minced garlic
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 2 tsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp sugar
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the ground pork, cabbage, carrots, mushrooms, ginger, garlic, sesame oil, soy sauce, sugar, salt, and pepper. Mix until everything is evenly combined.
- Lay out one shumai wrapper and place 1 tablespoon of the pork mixture in the center. Gently press the pork mixture down and shape into a ball.
- Fold the wrapper around the pork and press together to seal the dumpling.
- Repeat with the remaining wrappers and pork mixture.
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the shumai dumplings to the skillet and cook until golden brown on both sides, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- Serve hot with soy sauce and chili sauce.
